Novelcrafter
Description
Writing software for novels with AI assistance. It combines a planner for scenes and chapters, a codex (a reference of characters, locations and other story details that the AI draws on while writing), an AI chat for brainstorming and feedback, and generation of text from scene beats. Instead of one built-in model, it connects to AI platforms of the author's choice (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Mistral, OpenRouter) or to models running on the author's own computer through LM Studio and Ollama. Books can be grouped into series, and projects can be shared with editors and writing groups. The authors use it for novels, short stories, screenplays and game design.
