Clarifai was a US platform for running and training AI models: image recognition, content moderation and LLM inference via API.
When it closed. The platform shut down on July 17, 2026. New sign-ups closed on May 19 and new payments on June 17.
Why. On May 12, 2026, Nebius announced that Clarifai's core team, led by founder Matthew Zeiler, was joining Nebius, and that Nebius was licensing Clarifai's inference and compute-orchestration technology. We found no separate official statement on why the service itself was closed.
Users and data. The sources we found do not say what happens to customer data and datasets after the shutdown. If you still have data on Clarifai, contact the company.
